I've been ther...Zorikh, I feel so sad for you. I've been there so many times. One reason it's so devastating is because most of us look at our pets as our children and what it comes down to is, we are outliving our children. I still see shadows of pets gone by. Sometimes I dream about them and I truly believe that they are saying hello to me and letting me know they're ok. Perhaps you'll dream about her and she can let you now she's ok and in a peaceful place. 14 years is a long relationship. Everything you're feeling right now is normal.
